Voting Assistance at Blount Island

Voting Assistance

Service members who register to vote and request their ballot can participate in the general election through absentee voting while living away from their voting residence. You should receive your ballot by early October. Once it arrives, be sure to vote, sign and send it back promptly. Active duty service members stationed overseas should aim to vote by Oct. 24, while those stationed stateside should do so by Oct. 31.

To learn how to register to vote, request, complete, and send in your ballot, visit FVAP.gov/military-voter/overview.

The voting officer helps everyone vote in elections, whether they're registered locally in Florida or voting absentee in their home state. For assistance, contact Maj. Omar Cortez, Blount Island Command voting officer, at vote.blountisland@usmc.mil or 904-696-5469.
