Checking In at Blount Island

Welcome to Jacksonville

Welcome to the Blount Island Command family. Our dynamic team of Marines, Sailors, government civilians and federal contractors is united in a vital mission, crucial to the U.S. Marine Corps and our nation's security. We're excited to welcome new arrivals and ensure a smooth integration for you and your family.

To help you transition, Blount Island Command provides a dedicated command sponsor who can address your questions and guide you to local resources. Please note that our facility operates differently from some other Marine Corps installations. Housing, commissaries, PX and family services are primarily accessed through our neighboring Navy bases, Naval Station Mayport and Naval Air Station Jacksonville.

We're here to support you and make your time at Blount Island Command both productive and enjoyable. Welcome aboard.

Service Members

All Marines report to the administrative office located in building 100. Please proceed to the second floor and look for room 214. For after-hours assistance, between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m., a duty officer is available to help reporting service members. Marines are required to check into Blount Island Command in Service Alphas. If checking in after hours, report in Alphas the next business day. For further information, contact the administrative office at 904-696-5054, 5043 or 5293, or the duty officer after hours at 904-874-8038.

If you are reporting without prior contact from your sponsor, call the administrative officer at 904-696-5043 or 5054.

For reimbursement of temporary lodging expenses, service members are required to obtain lodging at Naval Station Mayport. Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance when on orders. Call 904-247-3964. If lodging is not available on base, request a statement of non-availability for authorization to stay at a commercial hotel. Please note that without an on-base hotel receipt or a statement of non-availability plus a commercial hotel receipt, the temporary lodging expense cannot be reimbursed. For any travel-related questions, contact the Defense Travel System coordinator at 904-696-5055.
