Oversees construction, design, and infrastructure resilience. Safety and environmental managers report to this branch, ensuring integration of risk management and stewardship in all projects.
MCSF-BI pairs operational excellence with environmental stewardship, supported by command policy. Marines, civilians and contractors—about 1,200 strong—work together to conserve Florida’s ecosystem, safeguard against climate risks, and continuously improve environmental performance. Stewardship remains a core part of sustaining readiness while preserving shared ecological heritage. The environmental office includes the protection of natural resources, reduces nonrenewable resource use and mitigating risks from changing weather and rising seas under engineering oversight.
