The Officer of the Day (OOD) and the Assistant Officer of the Day (AOOD) are direct representatives of the Commanding Officer (CO) and are charged with the execution of all orders of the CO which concern the security of the area and personnel within the assigned jurisdiction. The OOD is responsible for the handling of all administrative and emergency matters that occur after hours in the absence of the CO.
