Blount Island Workforce

The decision to become a U.S. Marine is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to honor, courage, and commitment. Marines serve as part of the nation’s force in readiness—trained to respond rapidly, operate in any clime or place, and defend our nation’s interests worldwide.

Your first step is to speak directly with a Marine Corps recruiter. Recruiters provide accurate information about service opportunities, eligibility, training, and career paths. They also guide you through the application and screening process. Applicants must meet requirements in areas such as age, education, physical fitness, medical readiness and legal standards. Recruiters will explain these in detail and help determine your qualification.

If you are interested in becoming a United States Marine, visit Marines.com or call 1-800-MARINES (627-4637). You may also connect directly with Marine Corps Recruiting Station Jacksonville (904-999-1855) for local support in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Recruiters there can provide details about enlistment options, the Delayed Entry Program and career opportunities.

Those interested in earning a commission as a Marine officer can explore multiple pathways. For more information, visit the following official resources:
